What are the physical properties of ACRYLITE® 249 acrylic sheet?

ACRYLITE® 249 Aerospace Grade Cross Linked Acrylic Sheet is certified to meet or exceed Military Specification MIL P-8184F as a Type I, Class 2 material. This specification is for optical quality cast acrylic sheet that is superior to conventional acrylic sheet in craze resistance, heat resistance, and water absorption.

Application

ACRYLITE® 249 sheet is used in a wide variety of aerospace and ground vehicle transparencies in monolithic or laminated form.

Fabrication

Most fabrication techniques used with conventional acrylic sheet materials can also be used with ACRYLITE® 249 sheet, with slight technique modification.

Typical property values are shown below for 0.500 inch thick ACRYLITE® 249. Some values will change with thickness.
