Product and Use
Clear, slightly yellow tinted liquid of low viscosity. Hardener for polymerization cement based on methyl methacrylate.

Safety Measures and Health Protection
Contains dibenzoyl peroxide. May cause sensitization by skin contact. Keep away from dirt, rust, chemicals, concentrated alkalis, and concentrated acids, accelerators (e.g. heavy metal salts and amines). Wear suitable protective clothing, protective gloves, and goggles/face protection during work.
Storage / Shipping
Keep container tightly closed in a cool, dark place. ACRIFIX® CA 0020 must not be stored in a refrigerator or deep freezer since this causes the active ingredient to crystallize and makes it very difﬁcult to redissolve. Storage temperature: max. 86°F / 30°C, min. 54°F/12°C.
It can be dosed according to volume by means of a graduated pipette, a burette, a disposable syringe, or, best of all, by means of a dispenser. However, it can also be dosed according to mass using commercially available laboratory scales.
The required amount of hardener at room temperature (64-77°F/18-25°C) for ACRIFIX® 2R 0190 and ACRIFIX 2R 0195 SBA is 3%.
At lower ambient temperatures and for special adhesive compositions, the required amount of hardener may be up to 6%.
ACRIFIX® CA 0020 is stirred into the adhesive by hand, using a stirring rod made of glass, ACRYLITE®, or stainless steel (free from copper!). If larger quantities of adhesive are used (> 200 g), an electrically or pneumatically operated agitator should be used.
Stirring is performed by means of a stainless-steel propeller, or better still, with a stainless-steel stirrer blade. Since this type of blade is not commercially available, it must be made by the operator from approximately ½ inch thick stainless steel.
Bonded parts can be further treated 3 to 6 hours after curing. The bonds only acquire their ﬁnal strength after about 24 hours or after immediate annealing as soon as the adhesive has cured.
Limitation of Liability
Our ACRIFIX® adhesives and other auxiliary agents were developed exclusively for use with our ACRYLITE® acrylic sheet products and are specially adjusted to the properties of these materials. Any recommendations and guidelines for workshop practice, therefore, refer exclusively to these products.
Seller's liability shall be limited to the purchase price of the product supplied (or to have been supplied) here-under in respect of which damages are claimed. All technical or other advice by seller, whether or not at buyer’s request, with respect to the product, it's processing, further manufacture, other use, or resale or otherwise, is given gratis by seller and seller shall not be liable for, and buyer assumes all risk of, such advice and the results thereof. SELLER SHALL IN NO EVENT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL OR OTHER DAMAGES, AND REGARDLESS WHETHER THE CLAIM IS BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY, NEGLIGENCE OR OTHERWISE. Upon satisfactory proof of claim by the buyer, and as buyer’s exclusive remedy, the seller will, within a reasonable time, supply the buyer with a replacement product of the same or equivalent type, free of charge, freight prepaid or, at seller's option, refund the purchase price for the product upon return of the product or other delivered material, or the unused portion thereof. Buyer charges for replacements and returns for credit will not be allowed unless authorized by the seller in writing.
