Recently, 52 freestanding partitions were delivered to St. Thomas Consolidated Catholic School in Sanford, Maine. These barriers are 48" by 48" and are made from ACRYLITE® premium sheet.
This material is great for partitions like these because it's tough, easy to clean, and of course offers that crystal clarity needed to make students and teachers feel as if it's just another day in the classroom even while social distancing.
"These partitions arrived so crystal clear! Some teachers have put decorative border tape or used designs around the borders to add both a bit of festivity as well as remind students that they really do need to walk around the partitions!", says Interim Principal, Martin McKeon.
Unlike the typical desk dividers that rest on the surface of the desk, these stand on their own from the ground. This offers greater separation between students without taking away their enjoyment of social interaction.
ACRYLITE® acrylic sheet can be fabricated in a variety of ways and as public places continue to seek the best possible social distancing structures, we can ensure our material will be able to adapt to the more sophisticated designs! Please note, this was a project done specifically for our neighboring community by the ACRYLITE® Tech Team. POLYVANTIS Sanford LLC does not provide the fabrication of ACRYLITE® acrylic sheet.
