Description of the Application
Auckland’s newest and highly anticipated addition to its network of Bikeways is Te Ara I Whiti, a transformation of the old Nelson Street off ramp into a must-see Auckland attraction.
PSP worked with Monk Mackenzie Architects, Hawkins Construction and Fel Group, specifying that ACRYLITE® Satinice should be used to create custom-made vertical towers which illuminate the brightly colored pathway. Lance Vazey, Project Engineer for Hawkins Construction commented that “by using ACRYLITE® Satinice, we were able to achieve the perfect lighting solution. The material was ightweight, finger-print resistant and had excellent UV properties, all features that were important when considering lightbox materials for this project.” Almost 300 lightboxes were installed on the path creating lighting with endless possible color combinations. The unique illumination properties of ACRYLITE® Satinice made it the superior choice for this project.
