Application Advice

Cold bending can be performed on both 8 mm and 16 mm thick ACRYLITE® Multi-Skin acrylic sheets. In general, the minimum radius is equal to 150 times the product thickness. For example, the minimum radius for 16 mm sheet would be 2400 mm or 94.50". When spacing the hoops, the expansion and contraction of the sheet must be borne in mind. A minimum clamping depth of 15 mm is recommended. Mill finish or light colored framing systems are recommended. Do not use dark colored systems for colorless acrylic sheet. These can lead to heat build-up, which could damage the sheet. Note that the curve runs parallel to the sheet ribs.
