ACRYLITE® Spectator Protection is 0.545 inch thick cast acrylic that meets the shielding requirements of ASTM F1703. ASTM F1703 specifies three shielding areas:

  • The rink ends require 0.50 inch thick or greater acrylic extending 6 feet above the boards.
  • The rink sides require a minimum of 0.50 inch thick acrylic extending 4 feet above the boards.
  • The bench areas require 0.50 inch thick or greater acrylic extending 4 to 6 feet above the boards.

Our testing found that 0.545 thick ACRYLITE® cast acrylic sheet provides the optimum combination of impact resistance, structural stiffness and cost.
