California Proposition 65
“Businesses are required to provide a "clear and reasonable" warning before knowingly and intentionally exposing anyone to a listed chemical, unless the business can show that the anticipated exposure level will not pose a significant risk of cancer or is significantly below levels observed to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm. This warning can be given in several ways, such as by labeling a consumer product, posting signs at the workplace or publishing notices in a newspaper. The requirement to provide warnings takes effect one year after a chemical is added to the list.” (source: www.p65warnings.ca.gov)

Conflict Minerals
Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Act of 2012 requires supply chain auditing when compounds of Tantalum (Ta), Tin (Sn), Tungsten (W), or Gold (Au) are intentionally added to affect the functionality of a product. These compounds are known by the acronym 3TG. The legislation attempts to reduce sourcing of the 3TG metals from conflict regions. POLYVANTIS Sanford LLC does not intentionally add 3TG compounds to ACRYLITE® and ACRIFIX® products.

European Union REACH and RoHS
The RoHS legislation seeks to restrict certain hazardous substances from electrical and electronic equipment made or imported into the European Union. This helps protect workers and the environment, especially during recycling of electronic goods.
The REACH legislation creates a Candidate List of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs). These are substances considered to have very serious effects on human health and the environment. Substances are included on this Candidate List after a formal nomination procedure. If an SVHC substance is contained in an article above 0.1% w/w, it may trigger additional obligations for companies importing the article into the European Union.
