High-pressure laminate (HPL) systems used in vertical exterior facades and architectural millwork require long-lasting surface protection to withstand UV exposure, weathering, and environmental stress. Leveraging our deep expertise in specialty chemicals and a patented co-extruded film formulation, we have developed a dedicated range of UV protective PMMA films for exterior-grade compact laminates.
These advanced cap films are specifically engineered to protect exterior HPL surfaces while preserving color, gloss, and overall aesthetic performance over time.

Features & benefits
The film structure is designed for optimal adhesion and long-term performance in exterior environments. The base layer is formulated from a tailor-made PMMA resin, providing excellent chemical adhesion to melamine resin substrates commonly used in compact laminate systems. An intermediate layer incorporates a high-performance UV absorber package to deliver superior protection against ultraviolet radiation.
ACRYLITE® Film 99836 is a pure PMMA UV-protective film developed specifically for exterior-grade compact laminates and HPL façade systems. It absorbs more than 98% of UV radiation and delivers outstanding performance under long-term outdoor weathering conditions. This film maintains clarity and appearance over time.
