ACRYLITE® Films for substrate lamination

ACRYLITE® Films for substrate lamination are PMMA-based cap-stock films designed for in-line lamination onto polymeric extruded sheets. These overlay films integrate seamlessly into standard extrusion processes, enhancing surface durability, optical quality, UV protection, and long-term weathering performance for architectural, construction, and signage applications.

  • overlay films for polymeric sheet lamination
  • in-line or roll-to-roll heat lamination compatibility
  • UV protection and protective weathering overlay options
  • cap-stock films for PMMA, ABS, PVC, PC, and ASA sheets
  • high optical clarity and surface quality

Features & benefits

ACRYLITE® Films are designed for laminated polymeric systems that require reliable processing and long-term performance. For PMMA, ABS, and PVC sheets, the films are heat laminated in-line using standard process parameters. Lamination to additional substrates such as PET, PP, PE, PC, and PVC can be achieved using pressure-sensitive or solvent-based adhesives. For PMMA, ABS, and PVC sheets, both films are heat laminated. An adhesive layer may be required when combining with other polymers.

The films offer excellent printability using gravure, flexographic, and digital printing technologies—typically without the need for pre-treatment or primers. Printed films can be laminated onto polymeric sheets and films, making them suitable for downstream processes such as thermoforming and insert molding. In labels, tapes, traffic control signs, and ID card overlays, ACRYLITE® Films provide high-gloss finishes, outstanding optical properties, and UV and weathering protection.
