ACRYLITE® sheet maskings

ACRYLITE® has several types of masking in use. All have properties specific for the end use of the acrylic sheet. Some are adhesive backed, some are heat activated, non-adhesive and other are more of a static cling type. Here is a listing of our more common types and where they are used.

Grade Type Attributes / Application Comments
TM Paper Adhesive paper. Brown craft paper with polyethylene coating. Generally good for 3 plus years. Best material for laser cutting. Excellent for all fabrication that does not require heat.
AA or TPA Adhesive Poly Adhesive poly that does not need heat to stick. No color, good clarity. Relatively low adhesion. Laser cuts well.
BT Adhesive Poly Adhesive poly that does not need heat to stick. Light blue color. Has worked well for routing and line bending. Laser cuts well.
TP Adhesive Poly White poly film with adhesive to stick to textured sheets. Does not have a "stretch memory" and will stay down on cross cut ends. Very sticky. Primarily used on ACRYLITE® Satinice products. Laser cuts well.
TE Non-Adhesive Poly Opaque white poly film with no adhesive applied. Can recling once removed. Limited thermoformability. Machines very well. Laser cutting will give a slight welding of the film to the sheet at the cut.
TP Non-Adhesive, Cling Poly Blue non-adhesive poly film. Good for most fabrication. Welds slightly at edge when laser cut. Can be line bent and thermoformed to 6 mm sheet thickness. Does not recling after removal. Also available in colorless.
