Thickness tolerance of ACRYLITE® extruded acrylic sheet

Having a tight thickness tolerance is important for several reasons. When dealing with a transparent material, larger variations in thickness can cause visible distortions and inconsistences that can hinder the aesthetic appeal of displays and signage. Having varying thicknesses in a single sheet also affects how much light is emitted through. For example: An inconsistent thickness would make a LED sign appear cheap or “dirty”. Consistency in sheet thickness facilitates ease of use by providing a predictable and expected outcome.

The thickness tolerance for ACRYLITE® Premium (FF), ACRYLITE® Optical mar resistant, ACRYLITE® Gallery UV filtering (OP3), ACRYLITE® Gallery non-glare (P99), ACRYLITE® Satinice velvet texture extruded P95/DP9, ACRYLITE® Satin Ice optimum light diffusion, ACRYLITE® Textures FFV and FFX acrylic sheet products.
