What recommendations can you provide for graffiti removal from ACRYLITE® acrylic?
These are a few general tips—please contact us for further guidance based on your specific application.
Graffiti can be removed from ACRYLITE® acrylic using select graffiti removers. While many products are labeled as “safe for plastics,” the term plastics is broad, and most removers contain harsh solvents that may damage acrylic surfaces. Always choose a remover compatible with ACRYLITE® and test it on a small, inconspicuous area first.
General Graffiti Removal Steps:
-
Clean the area with a soft, non-abrasive cloth to remove loose dirt and debris.
-
Apply the approved graffiti remover to the affected area.
-
Let it sit for 2 to 5 minutes to allow the solution to penetrate.
-
Rinse thoroughly using a high-pressure water spray or wipe away with a soft, non-abrasive towel.
-
Finish with a clean water rinse and use a squeegee to remove any residue.
-
This step is important to eliminate any oily film left by the remover, which can attract dirt.
