At Roehm America, we take pride in the packaging of our products that ship all over North America. Our packages are subject to long journeys and pass through multiple carriers with different equipment and handling standards.  To ensure their safe journey, we have optimized our packaging to handle even the toughest conditions and ensure the quality of our materials remain uncompromised.

CUSTOM-MADE PROTECTION

The shipping journey can be difficult. Pallets of material can sustain significant damage as they are driven through rough terrain, loaded on and off trucks, and sometimes transported multiple times before they reach their destination. Regular pallets can begin to shift and weaken from improper handling and sheer neglect. This leads to a sagging pallet, ultimately causing the acrylic sheet to warp.

Since most industrial vehicles are not equipped to handle standard pallets of eight-foot acrylic, we use reinforced custom packaging, designed to withstand snapping, rupturing, and breakage. These durable pallets help to prevent damage to the acrylic sheet and ensure they arrive to their destination in perfect condition.

Protection that outperforms the competition

It only takes a walk through a distributor’s warehouse to see how ACRYLITE® stacks up against the competition.  This picture, taken at a distributor’s warehouse, demonstrates how the competitor's pallets have weakened and deteriorated from the journey. This causes the wood to sag and become more fragile, which can render the acrylic it’s meant to protect vulnerable to warpage and other types of damage.  With ACRYLITE®, you can expect a strong, solid pallet, that provides the ultimate protection against unintentional product damage throughout its journey.

NO SHIFTING OR SLIDING

Our acrylic sheet is protected by an anti-slip polyethylene film overwrap. The wrap prevents the acrylic from shifting or sliding during transportation and warehouse movement. It also acts as a dirt and moisture barrier throughout transportation and storage.

Our packaging also features thicker, stronger angleboards, which keep the protective wrapping in place and intact. This helps to prevent tearing, which could lead to moisture build-up and sheet warpage.

Re-use & Protect

Maintaining flatness of acrylic sheet is critical in applications like wide format printing and laser cutting. We suggest keeping the overwrap on, even in storage to prevent unwanted warpage caused by moisture. All you must do is tape the overwrap back up and reuse it!

PASSING INSPECTION

Before shipment takes place, each package undergoes a strict inspection. We look for any possible hazards that can cause damage to the sheet, such as nails that are sticking up. We never use damaged skids, and we ensure pallets are dry and free of debris.

"These pallets are so durable they can be re-used many times over. One thing is for sure, we never sacrifice quality in our packaging because the quality of our products depend on it."
