The need for distancing applications such as sneeze guards, retail dividers and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) have not gone away. Businesses are rushing to find the best solutions for their brick and mortar stores and restaurants that will provide a safe environment for their employees and customers.
ACRYLITE® material such as our Premium Clear, MR2 and Resist Impact Modified sheet have been used for many of these applications. However, as the demand for these barriers increase, we are discovering that our less common material will work just the same or better for these needs.
ACRYLITE® Alltop is a great example of this. This material has been known as the choice sheet for greenhouse and patio cover roofs, but it is now being introduced into this new market of distancing applications. It's a desired material for this market due to its appealing characteristics such as its durability and lightweight properties. For example, a 4' wide by 6' tall barrier made of this material weighs only 25 pounds!
Jess 'n Nic's Pizzeria & Pub in Gray, Maine have been one of the first to receive barriers using this material. As you can see from the pictures below, the sheet is stabilized by a metal frame which includes wheels for easy mobility. This design can be transported to new locations without much effort which opens the possibilities of use.
It can be used in a restaurant setting such as this to separate tables or it can be used in an office to create a barrier between desks, just to name a few. The possibilities are truly endless.
